HUMAN INTERFERENCE

The interactive work “Human Interference” explores humanity’s growing disconnection from planet Earth through the use of obsolete visual equipment. The installation invites viewers to reflect on their own role within this interference, highlighting the idea that the mere presence of a human already alters the surrounding environment—and that the more humans present, the greater the impact.

The piece is composed of nine CRT televisions arranged in an intentionally irregular layout, with each screen displaying a fragment of a larger image. I used lighting fixtures to focus and create atmospheric effects throughout the installation. A proximity sensor acts as the mediator between viewer and artwork, triggering visual interference in response to human presence.
